MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMCE) received the Gold Class 1 Award by the Malaysian Society Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) Award 2021. The award was given to MMCE through its joint venture company that consist of MMC Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd (MMCEC), MMC Oil & Gas Sdn Bhd (MMCOG) and Sedia Engineering Works Sdn Bhd (SEW) for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commisioning of PGU-I Gas Pipeline Replacement Project (GRAPHITE) in Terengganu.  

The award was presented by YB Datuk Haji Awang Bin Hashim, Deputy Minister of Human Resources to Abdul Fatah bin Endut, Chief Executive Officer of MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd in a ceremony held at Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

The MSOSH Award, which was inaugurated in 1984, is intended to give recognition to all organisations and companies that achieved commendable Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) performance or have shown remarkable improvement in their OSH processes through sound Safety and Health Management system.

MMCE has constantly putting an effort to create awareness and to establish HSE cultures in line with OSH standards as well as implementing strict HSE guidelines at all levels, in which were recognized by MSOSH Committee Members. This achievement demonstrated full commitment and cooperation from various stakeholders within MMCE especially their business partners to ensure safer and healthier workplace as stipulated under OSHA 1994.
