The MMC Engineering Division continued its success by winning 3 major awards at Malaysian Society Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) awards ceremony. The award has been presented to MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMCE) and MMC Pembetungan Langat Sdn Bhd (MMC PLSB) respectively. The ceremony was held at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya on 1st August 2019.

The relentless efforts of both companies in the sense of creating awareness and practicing with both OSH standards and established stringent guidelines were finally recognized by MSOSH Committee Members. MMCE bag two major prestigious award when North-Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT) project receipts “Gold Merit Award” and Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda (MADA) project receipts the “Gold Class 1 Award”. While MMC PLCB has won the “Gold Class 2 Category Award”. These achievements demonstrated full commitment and cooperation from various stakeholders within MMCE and MMC PLSB especially our business partners in order to ensure safer and healthier workplace as stipulated under OSHA 1994.

The awards were received gracefully by NBCT Project Director, Encik Mohd Sahimi Abdullah, MADA Project Manager, Encik A. Rajendran and followed by MMC PLCB Project Director, Encik Abdul Fatah bin Endut. At the same time, the COO, Technical and Engineering of MMC, Tn Hj Mohd Razin has expressed his concerns and emphasize that the biggest challenge is to make OSH a living culture and a way of life and it is the responsibility of every employees and management of MMC to apply OSH knowledge in daily life.

Officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Mahfuz Omar, Deputy Minister of Human Resource and Chairman of National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, the event was held with the objective to commemorate and appreciate industries’ players and organizations as an integral part of the national strategy in promoting safety and health culture.
