On 9 August 2017, YBhg. Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili,Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA), visited MMC Engineering Services Sdn Bhd’s (MMCES) ongoing project at the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant in Hulu Langat, Selangor.

The delegation, led by YAB Dato’ Seri Diraja Tan Sri Tajul Rosli Ghazali, Chairman of Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) and En. Mahadzhir Mustafa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PAAB accompanied by YBhg. Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, Secretary-General of Ministry of KeTTHA visited the project site to see the latest progress on the project.

Also present were YBhg. Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad, Mr Chee Weng Loon, Director of Engineering & Construction Division of MMC Corporation Berhad and En Mohd Abdul Fatah Endut, CEO of MMC Engineering Services Sdn Bhd.

Upon arrival at PAAB Package 1B Site Office, the delegation was given an introduction and briefing about the progress of the ongoing Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant (Phase 1) by Mr. Ir. Rousdin Hassan, Project Director of CSRK. The site visit lasted for approximately an hour and the Minister expressed his satisfaction over the project's progress.

Upon completion, the plant can produce up to 1130 MLD of processed water and is able to cater for the demand for the residents in Klang Valley up to year 2025.
