MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMCE), which is currently undertaking a project in Tanjung Adang conducted a beach clean-up program around the project area in collaboration with Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP).

Also present during the program was Ir. Mohd Sarudin Mohd Aziz, Tg Adang Project Director, Arjan Weerstand, Head of Project Integration, Umar Faruq Jamaluddin, Head of Project Division and representatives from Department of Health, Safety and Environment of both companies.

Through this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, those involved with the project learn to appreciate the importance of having a sustainable environment in the workplace and public area that may directly or indirectly affected them. The programme is also conducted to foster strong working relationship between all the stakeholders and demonstrate that MMCE places a strong emphasis on environmental protection.

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (“PTP”), under its expansion program, intends to develop Tanjung Adang which is located within District Park B of the Freezone Phase 2 area of the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Mukim Tanjung Kupang, Daerah Johor Bahru, Johor Darul Takzim. This expansion program involves the development of approximately 100 acres of land existing infrastructures along the eastern and northern boundaries of the development. The major component of this development is the reclamation of approximately 60 acres of land to build a finished platform level of +5.0 mCD.
